Tax Accountant at AccountStaff

AccountStaff is currently looking for a Tax Accountant to assist with the quarterly filings, especially focused on the tax provisions. Eventually, this role will oversee the tax, treasury, credit and insurance functions to ensure compliance. Additionally, the role will perform some general month, quarter and year end closing functions.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Preparation of year-end income tax provision with the assistance from external CPA. Prepare quarterly income tax provision.
Work with external CPA firm to ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate federal and state income and other tax returns including preparation of all book to tax difference schedules and maintenance of tax depreciation schedules.
Work with external CPA for timely preparation of 1099-MISC forms. Oversee preparation of Form 1095-C's and prepare Form 1094-C Sales & Use tax reporting for various states.
Personal property tax renditions and returns for various states.
Research and analysis of federal and state tax opportunities and issues as needed Supplemental and ancillary analysis, reporting, and filings as needed.


Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in corporate tax or public

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
