About the Job
OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a full-time tax strategist/accountant with bookkeeping experience who can work from our office onsite for 20 hours per week, on a regular schedule during our business hours (Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). We would like you to consult with our clients regarding tax law, provide tax-advantageous advice, create plans for upcoming years, prepare and file state and federal tax returns, and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
The person we are looking for is someone who expresses warmth and compassion but also mature professionalism. Computer savvy-ness is absolutely required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare tax returns and documentation for clients.
- Follow all federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Find legal deductions to save money for clients.
- Organize financial records for clients.
- Answer client questions and provide advice.
- Keep track of deadlines and deliverables for multiple clients.
- Stay up to date on all federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Maintain confidentiality of all personal financial information.
- Use popular tax preparation and bookkeeping software.
SKILLS:
- Ability to type 60 wpm.
- Excellent grammar and telephone voice.
- Ability to juggle multiple clients' tax matters.
- Strong self-organizational skills.
- High expectations for yourself.
- Willing to forgive others and be gracious with mistakes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license is required.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related major is required.
- A master's degree in accounting or business administration is preferred.
- Previous experience in tax accounting/strategy/bookkeeping is preferred.
- Previous experience in wealth management is a bonus.
COMPENSATION:
- Pay: $35-40 per hour, DOE
