Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our firm. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on challenging tax projects for a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all tax-related activities, including tax compliance, tax preparation, tax research, and tax advisory. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers room for advancement and the chance to make a significant impact on our organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
2. Provide tax compliance oversight and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Deliver high-quality tax advisory services to our clients, including strategic tax planning and risk management.
4. Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives and to resolve complex tax issues.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional client service by managing their expectations and meeting their deadlines.
6. Work closely with the tax team to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
7. Stay abreast of current industry trends and changes in tax laws to ensure the firm's compliance and to provide up-to-date advice to clients.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of five years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department.
3. Proficient in individual returns, tax preparation, tax compliance, tax advisory, tax research, and tax accounting.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members at all levels.
7. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate a high degree of professional integrity.
