Job Details
- Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
- Advise clients on estate planning strategies, tax implications, and asset preservation.
- Provide sophisticated tax return preparation, compliance, and strategic planning services to high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as •Develop and implement tax strategies aimed at minimizing liabilities and maximizing wealth preservation for high-net-worth clientele.
- Analyze and review complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Collaborate closely with a talented and well-supported practice group to deliver comprehensive tax planning solutions.
- Advise clients on a wide range of tax issues, including estate and gift tax planning, wealth transfer strategies, and charitable giving.
- Provide expert guidance on tax implications related to business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and succession planning.
- Regularly communicate with clients to assess their tax situations, address inquiries, and provide updates on relevant tax law changes.
- Participate in resolving tax disputes, including audits and appeals, with a focus on protecting the interests of high-net-worth individuals and businesses.
We’re Looking For:
- Licensed to practice in VA
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; LLM in estate planning, tax taxation, or similar preferred
- 2+ years of experience specializing in tax return preparation, compliance, and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and businesses.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws, with proven experience in handling complex tax issues for affluent clients.
