Tax & Audit Manager - ECS Ltd

• Manage and oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns and compliance with tax laws.
• Lead and coordinate GAAP and FAR audit processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to reduce liabilities and enhance overall financial performance.
• Conduct thorough internal audits and ensure compliance with internal controls, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to manage audit timelines and resolve audit issues.
• Prepare and review audit reports, ensuring findings and recommendations are clearly communicated to senior management.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax filings.
• Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations that impact the AEC industry and government contracting.
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams on GAAP and FAR compliance.
• Lead initiatives to improve tax efficiency and reduce audit findings through continuous process improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in tax and audit management, preferably in the AEC industry or with government contractors.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and FAR regulations and experience managing audits in these areas.
• Experience with tax compliance and audit processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in accounting and tax software.
