We are seeking a Client Engagement Coordinator to join our growing tax team to help drive this mission forward. As a Client Engagement Coordinator, you will support the client-facing tax team in their tax strategy, preparation, and filing work and will set the tone of our commitment to proactive and timely client communications.

Areas of Responsibility
Client Communications:
- First-level client communications including information requests, responding to questions, and updates on the status of their work
- Escalate client questions and issues as needed
- Ensure clients are able to understand and follow directions in the mailing and payment of tax returns
Client Documents and Information:
- Monitor client portal for submitted documents, communicate missing documents to clients and follow up consistently
- Pull business client financial information from accounting and payroll software to client portal for tax return and projection preparation
- Keep accurate and up-to-date client information and tax records
Tax Preparation and Filing:
- Update project management software and notify preparer when client information is completed or has changed
- Prepare extensions as needed
- Prepare 1099s, Business Property Tax Listings, and Annual Reports as needed
- Coordinate tax filings: Obtain client e-signatures, e-file returns, and send completed documents to client
- Pitch in and help other team members as needed
Continuous improvement:
- Identify and help execute on opportunities to improve team and client communication, processes, and collaboration
- Identify technology that will improve efficiency and accuracy
Measures of Success
- Client satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy
- Timeliness and accuracy of tax deliverables
- Process improvements
Expectations for Remote Work
- “Core” hours overlapping with other team members to collaborate efficiently
- Available via chat, phone, and video during core hours
- We provide a laptop, 2 monitors, and docking station as needed

Qualifications and Experience
- Familiarity with a variety of software applications, such as Microsoft Office, tax software, project management software, and Adobe, and the ability to quickly learn new programs
- Prior experience in tax preparation (preferred) or as an administrative assistant
