We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Director to join our team. This is a new and exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to take the helm of our tax department and make a significant impact on our company's future. The Tax Director will be responsible for overseeing all tax functions, including compliance, planning, and strategy. This role will require strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities:
As the Tax Director, you will be responsible for:
1. Directing and overseeing all aspects of the company's tax functions, including planning, compliance, and audit defense.
2. Developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize cash flow.
3. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Collaborating with other departments to provide tax advice and guidance on business decisions and transactions.
5. Managing relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
6. Staying up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicating these changes to relevant stakeholders.
7. Leading, mentoring, and developing the tax department team.
8. Preparing and presenting tax reports and findings to senior management and the board of directors.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Tax Director role will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is required.
2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a tax leadership role, preferably with experience from a Big 4 or large regional firm.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
7. Proficiency in tax software and other related technology.
8. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism.
