What you’ll do?
The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing all Direct & Indirect tax compliance & reporting for the company, as per applicable laws & regulation within the timelines. Additionally, manage domestic and international tax compliance & reporting related to complete business affairs. This role will play a crucial role serving as a liaison with external & internal stakeholders for tax filling, tax audits and assessments. Lastly, this role will contribute to building effective operational controls and acting as business partner for all tax compliance and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage & execute tax compliances related to all aspects for business
Sharing monthly information to the consultant and ensuring proper filling for Sales & Use Tax and GST/HST/PST/QST
Managing documentation and reconciliation related to sales tax data (filling, payments, Vertex, resale certificates, reconciliation to the trial balance)
Sharing quarterly & annual information to the consultant for Corporate Income tax and managing the PBC
Ensuring proper payment & filling of corporate Income tax. (Advance payment, State and Federal income tax)
Review of complete annual Corporate income tax return including Current & Deferred income tax
Prepare information related to 263A and R&D tax credit for Corporate Income Tax return
Managing business reporting to Corporate Consolidation team (Semi annually – Current & deferred income tax, Annually - Schedules of all business Tax risk)
Prepare & provide requested information to the consultant related to Transfer Pricing
Responsible for maintaining all the supporting documents and agreements.
Manage other tax and statutory compliance & reporting related to business. (Property tax, withholding tax, etc…)
Prepare and maintain checklist related to state wise business registrations, due dates and status
Review of all business processes to ensure compliance. Liasioning with internal and external resources to implement robust processes and system controls
Training Finance and other concerned departments on tax regulation and new updates relevant to the business
What you need to be successful in this role:
Four Year Degree: Major in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years as a Tax Manager OR 3-5 years as Senior Tax accountant
CPA preferred
The knowledge of all applicable business laws & regulations
Strong knowledge of tax code, changes in tax regulations
Working experience with monthly tax filling and payments
Experience with state and federal tax audits and assessment
Exposure to international taxation
Knowledge and experience of any major ERP (SAP, Oracle)
Good analytical skills
Management skills, Relationship building
