The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and coordinating all tax matters within the organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for the organization.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Conduct thorough tax research and provide tax advisory services to the organization.
- Manage the preparation of financial reports, ensuring they comply with international tax laws.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records and assist in financial analysis.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors, representing the company in any tax audits or disputes.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring the company's financial operations remain compliant.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on tax-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree such as a Master's or a professional certification such as a CPA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the finance industry.
- Proven expertise in tax accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in tax preparation, including corporate tax, indirect taxation, and international tax.
- Proficiency in tax planning and the ability to develop effective tax strategies.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to conduct thorough tax research and provide sound tax advisory services.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex tax information clearly and effectively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
- Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
