About the Job
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our client's team. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and/or partnerships, serving a diverse set of clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with firm leadership to serve clients and actively contribute to the growth and success of the firm.
- Mentor and coach a team of talented staff, utilizing your expertise to help develop their technical and professional skills.
- Provide comprehensive federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients.
- Consult on complex technical matters and special projects in areas including corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC740.
- Conduct research on various tax matters, respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities, and provide recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with specialty tax practices on challenging tax issues relating to state and local, high net worth, international, research and development, and credits and incentives.
- Manage client engagement staffing, billings, and collections, ensuring client profitability targets are met.
- Develop and execute a business development plan by networking and building strong relationships internally and externally to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Juris Doctorate, or Tax LLM.
- Completed necessary education hours to be eligible for CPA or EA licensure.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional public accounting firm.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
- Strong analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with expertise in US GAAP and tax consulting and compliance.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including project planning and time management.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environment.
- Willingness and availability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
- Authorized to work in the USA.
