We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Manager to join our fast-paced finance team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned tax professional who is looking to take their career to the next level. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, tax preparation, tax compliance, corporate tax, accounting, tax research, and tax returns. The Permanent Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing and coordinating tax strategy, ensuring compliance with tax laws, preparing tax returns, and researching tax issues.
Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager, you will be expected to:
1. Oversee and manage the preparation of all corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws.
2. Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance and advice to the team.
3. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies that minimize tax liabilities and maximize profits.
4. Review and manage all internal tax processes and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
5. Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors as needed.
6. Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
7. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior tax staff, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Tax Manager position will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree in Taxation or a related field is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate tax.
3. Strong knowledge of tax laws, tax compliance, tax preparation, and tax planning.
4. Proficient in tax research and interpretation of tax laws.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is preferred.
