Effective Jan 1, 2024, employees are expected to work at their assigned office a minimum of two days per week
In the event that this is not geographically reasonable, you may work in the office closest to your home. Additionally, we expect employees to participate in required firm events/meeting (e.g., trainings, team bonding, client meetings, etc.) As a Manager in our SALT group, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:Provides top-level review of federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts; also reviews related income tax workpapersLeads teams of seniors and staff accountantsOversees planning and scheduling of engagementsResearch complex tax issuesEnsures quality of work productMonitors work-flowCoaches/mentors individual team membersProvides formal and informal feedbackCommunicates progress to partnersDevelops business with both existing and new clientsDevelops and maintains strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clientsWorks closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planningTo be successful, these are the skills, qualities and experience you will need:Undergraduate degree; Master’s degree a plusCPA certificateA minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceBackground in State and Local Tax is preferredAbility to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issuesDemonstrated advanced project management skillsAbility to utilize firm technology to enhance client serviceExcellent research skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs; Quickbooks, or other accounting software, a plusYou Matter - HCVT provides a variety of benefits and perks that help sustain a healthy and thriving work environment.Visit the Benefits section to learn moreThis salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set and education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs
