We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax professional with a strong background in corporate federal and state taxes, business taxes, real estate, partnerships, and trusts. In this role, you will manage a team and leverage your expertise to ensure our tax operations are compliant, efficient, and strategically aligned with our business objectives. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of corporate federal and state taxes, business taxes, real estate, partnerships, and trusts.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
- Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
- Conduct complex tax research and prepare tax memorandums dealing with a variety of issues, including but not limited to corporate transactions, partnerships, and international tax matters.
- Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
- Manage and coordinate tax provision and tax compliance process.
- Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of tax reporting, tax compliance, and planning internationally and domestically.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification is required.
- Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
- 6-10+ years’ experience in a public accounting firm is required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
- Comprehensive understanding of tax law/compliance with deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
- Proficient in tax compliance, business tax advisory, and planning services.
- Strong experience in real estate, partnerships, trusts, and business taxes.
- Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient with tax software and technology.
