Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as a Tax Manager might include the following:

• Working with staff to ensure individual and business tax returns are completed correctly and by the required deadline.
• Reviewing, approving, and signing tax returns for release to clients.
• Serving as the primary interface between the client and the engagement team.
• Gathering relevant tax-related information from the client so an accurate tax return can be prepared.
• Looking at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
• Coaching or mentoring a staff member to assist with enhancing their skills and further developing their career.
• Networking, building relationships and attracting new clients or business for the Firm.
• Billing clients for the services and guidance provided.

Who You Are

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with an active CPA license or an Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• You have 6-8 years of experience in public accounting tax work, preferably working with clients in middle-markets, high-net-worth individuals and family-owned businesses.
• You can easily explain details of your tax experience and/or can explain the difference between a 1040 and an 1120.
• You actively stay up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
• You have a knack for solving problems and easily notice issues while bringing solutions to the table.
• You take pride in helping others, and you are ready to take on the challenge of leading a team of high-performing individuals.
• You have knowledge of and exposure to a variety of industries and the ability to read a financial statement.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Benefits and Compensation

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Salary range: $112,000 - $150,000

Beyond base salary, Eide Bailly provides benefits such as: generous paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, life and disability insurance, lifestyle spending account, certification incentives, education assistance, and a referral program.
