Job Title: Team Lead, Housing Services
Summary
The Housing Services Team Lead is responsible for providing expert level assistance and supervision to the operational activities of the Housing Services Administrators team assigned. The Housing Services Teams will maintain an assigned caseload of 200 eligible low-income families and individuals participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP), in accordance with program policies and procedures.

Works in an office environment. May require frequent bending, stooping, reaching and prolonged sitting. May require regular lifting usually not exceeding 20 lbs.
Summary
The Housing Services Team Lead is responsible for providing expert level assistance and supervision to the operational activities of the Housing Services Administrators team assigned. The Housing Services Teams will maintain an assigned caseload of 200 eligible low-income families and individuals participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP), in accordance with program policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert to all assigned team members; actively participates in team meetings, process improvement initiatives and other special projects; provides assistance to Housing Services Administrators on complex or escalated client issues.
- Manages and monitors cases from initial eligibility screening through termination from the program, including contract administration, issuance of payments, conducting recertifications/reexaminations, ensuring program compliance, making client referrals to social service provider partners, and ensuring that clients and landlords are in compliance with program eligibility and participation requirements.
- Documents all tasks completed in the appropriate client and landlord files within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computer system and maintains records in accordance with established document management requirements.
- Responsible for timely and accurate follow-ups to complete tasks; opens, reviews and acts upon all mail, telephone and electronic and phone call inquiries received within established timelines; uses agency approved forms, letters and correspondence; assures that all correspondence issued is the correct and most recent version.
- Performs other related tasks as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Real Estate, Public Policy, Social Work or related field required
- 1 years’ experience in public housing or real estate
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, documents, information, and publications.
- Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking to solve problems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high quality service standards and accuracy.
- Advanced math skills to calculate financial eligibility, complete financial forms, develop reports and understand statistical data
- Functional proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Sharepoint.
- Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence, interview and negotiate to forge positive relationships with clients, co-workers and colleagues.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills and the ability to share information effectively to diverse groups.
- Knowledge of Housing Choice Voucher Program and/or HUD section 8 programs preferred.
