Position: Team Lead Location: Team Lead l Wage: 26.03 plus $2.00 shift differential Shift: 2nd While reporting to the Josh Axelson as the Team Lead l you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of our production workers. What You’ll Be Doing: • Performing production tasks such as set-up, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Enforcing appropriate health and safety regulations. • Inspecting materials, final products, and machinery for defects. • Implementing process improvement initiatives as needed and ensure that production output meets organizational expectations. JOB DUTIES OF HOURLY SERVICE CENTER TEAM LEADER I Responsible for the performance and results of all activities at the service center through the use of MANAGEMENT and SUPERVISORY skills Safety – Ensure adequate training and proper compliance to Sonoco safety policies. Quality – Ensure employees are trained, so that all products shipped from the service center meet customer’s stated specifications and that all orders are delivered on-time and in-full. Work with Division Service Center Manager or Site Operations Manager to investigate any quality issues that arise and develop response Customer Service – Ability to maintain working relationship with key personnel at customer’s facility. Key Performance Indicators – Work with Division Service Center Manager or Site Operations Manager to ensure that department KPIs are met and that variance from targets can be explained. Administration Understanding of HR records, daily employee schedules, and MRP systems Capable of training employees and enforcing company policies. Playing an active role in the monthly physical inventory. Thorough understanding of monthly financial results Involved in staffing decisions for their respective departments Operations Ability to maintain a working relationship with all employees. Plan daily and weekly schedules based on customer demands. Supervise all daily assembly or other operational processes to meet production schedule. Work with Division Service Center Manager or Site Operations Manager to identify and manage productivity opportunities. Ability to plan and schedule all outbound freight activities. Work with Division Service Center Manager or Site Operations Manager to plan and order component materials from manufacturing plants to ensure optimal balance of service (fulfillment to customer), cost (mfg and shipping efficiencies), and cash (inventory carrying costs).
