WHAT YOU'LL DO
Primary Function Summary
- Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles
- Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
- Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives
- Maintain education matrix(s) and associated records demonstrating compliance to the IATF Management System
Responsible for set-up, repair of programs and tooling, and troubleshooting of machines in addition to training all team members on the same
Responsible for training new personnel on first piece off protocol and log accordingly
Responsible for improving production processes, reducing TAKT time and increasing production efficiency
Ensure production targets are met, and if not, that it is reported with proper corrective action(s)
Working leader responsible for handling team duties in addition to job responsibilities
Assist team members in efficiently maximizing throughput while optimizing inventory levels
Responsible for communicating information to your team reported to you by teams and or shifts
Schedule Predictive Maintenance (PM) time in coordination with Maintenance
Ensure that machines and or work cells are manned to maximize production.
Schedule personnel to cover illnesses, late arrivals, and vacation schedules
Ensure that priority and or rush jobs are being worked on to meet the promised shipment time
Responsible for accurate and timely production reporting for all team members
Responsible for helping to reduce the scrap rate within the cell by the agreed upon rate
Assist with the cross training activities within the team to maximize production efficiency
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Usage of computer, printer, calculator and machinery control panels
- Possess working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college and/or technical trade manufacturing education is preferred
