Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Technical Cost Estimator/Sales Engineering Manager in Eau Claire, MI. Responsibilities include cost management, project estimation, budgeting, and cost control to deliver accurate estimates for custom die castings projects.
Cost Estimation:
Collaborate with clients to assess project requirements and specifications
Estimate project costs, including materials, labor, tooling, and overhead
Review designs and blueprints to determine cost-effective production methods
Deliver detailed cost estimates to clients, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
Continuously update and refine cost estimation processes
Technical Knowledge:
Stay updated with advancements in die casting technology and materials
Provide technical expertise to clients for designing parts and tooling
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Address client inquiries and issues professionally
Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the company
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities
Provide regular reports on sales performance and forecasting
Qualifications:
Strong skills in cost management, budgeting, and project estimation
Experience in manufacturing or engineering industries
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and relevant software tools
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel for client meetings and sales activities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
