KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Technical Procedure Writer: public & employee safety for the prevention / response to environmental hazards (oil & gas)
Our customer, located in Los Angeles is seeking to engage a contractor for a project starting ASAP, with an estimated duration of 3-6 months.
The location is yet to be determined, with the possibility of remote work or an onsite requirement, which will include decisions on the number of days and specific locations.
The role involves enhancing and formalizing improvements to its Safety Management System framework by developing and publishing approximately fourteen new policies and procedures.
These high-level, 4-6 page documents will cover topics such as safety culture, leadership commitment, contractor management, and operational controls. The contractor will work closely with the customer, who will provide subject matter expertise. The primary focus is on formatting and wordsmithing the content, as the team has tight timelines to produce at least ten policies. Safety-related experience is beneficial but not required. We don't have years of experience requirements, education requirements, etc.

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree is a plus
- Relevant certifications are a plus
- Oil &/or gas experience is a plus.
- Public safety-related (environmental risk / hazard protection) technical writer experience is preferred.
- Workplace safety-related (environmental risk / hazard prevention & protection) technical writer experience is preferred
- 5-8+ years of technical writer experience
- Excellent verbal / written communication skills
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license required
Compensation depends on experience but is typically $50-60/hr.
