Job Brief
We're seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to provide strategic leadership for a wide range of client IT projects. This role involves overseeing project development and implementation, exercising independent judgment while adhering to company methodologies and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex, long-range IT projects
- Define project scope, priorities, deadlines, and deliverable schedules
- Facilitate discussions among project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and clients
- Lead client meetings to discuss project goals and progress
- Manage and monitor project budgets and costs
- Coordinate project team members and develop schedules
- Utilize project management tools to track performance
- Conduct risk assessments
- Identify new opportunities to enhance clients' IT infrastructure
- Contribute to new Foxcove initiatives and product service offerings
Requirements and Skills
- 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager
- Educational background in engineering, computer science, or information technology
- Willingness and ability to travel for client meetings and internal gatherings
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus
- Proficiency with project management tools like Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
- In-depth knowledge of various operating systems, network administration, and service desk administration
- Strong understanding of cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, Azure), core cloud services (Google Workspace, Office 365, Okta), and MDM products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
Work Environment and Travel Expectations
- Remote position (we do not have a physical office)
- Must be proficient in using various communication and collaboration tools for remote work
- Travel requirements:
- 1-2 client meetings per month on the West Coast
- Occasional in-person meetings with Executive Leadership in Portland, Oregon
- While the position is primarily remote, we seek candidates who are comfortable with and open to:
- Periodic travel for client meetings
- In-person interactions for internal meetings
- Occasional travel for client engagements on the West Coast
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $105,000 - $125,000 (based on experience)
- Primarily remote work arrangement with travel expectations as outlined above
- Generous time off, including paid sick time, 12 paid holidays, and a 1-week Winter Closure
