A Custom Plastic Hardware Manufacturing firm in Columbia County are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer
The firm - is a well-respected and Established Privately Owned / Operated custom Plastic Hardware Manufacturing firm that has been in business since 1967.
The Technical Sales Engineer will bridge between the sales team, customers and manufacturing process leads to uncover new growth opportunities and prospective customers by showcasing company services and offering specialized technical guidance on prospective projects while addressing client needs through tailor-made and effective manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities:
Focusing on expanding client base by proactively identifying and sourcing custom polymer solutions for clients
Effectively demonstrating technical features of manufacturing processes to prospective clients
Driving sales by building and maintaining strong business relationships while ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
Travelling to customer sites and providing personalized service and support
Collaborating with Engineering to develop accurate and competitive price quotes and proposals tailored to client needs
Consistently meeting and exceeding established sales goals, tracking progress and adjusting strategies to maximize success
Strong communication, collaboration and project management skills
Understand sales and manufacturing processes and risks, anticipating challenges and formulating mitigation strategies.
Ability to travel 25-50%, majority regional travel - company will equip you with a company car and will cover travel expenses
Other tasks and duties as assigned
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Work
- Knowledge of the plastics manufacturing and mold fabrication process helpful
- Previous experience in a customer facing technical sales or engineering roles
- Familiarity with polymer products and their applications or related manufacturing experience
- 5-7 years progressive project engineering and sales experience
Compensation: Up to 110k base (could go higher for the right person) + Great Benefits
