Technical Sales Representative - B&G Hatfield Facility

JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Sales Associate directly supports the technical sales team by processing orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements; providing technical information and supporting customer accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support strategic plans and objectives.

• Maintain communications with existing customers, including the provision of product availability, new programs, supply and price trends, etc. Provide feedback to the B&G Organization.

• Work in conjunction with the Technical Sales Manager to plan and secure new business, both in existing and new product lines.

• Be proactive towards new business development; prepare reports on contacts made and other pertinent data for the Technical Sales Manager.

• Cooperate with production planning and manufacturing engineering to assure timely and accurate cost estimates and work order development.

• Prepare price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates and service obligations. Assure that accurate and timely responses are provided.

• Make followup contact after quoting and report feedback to the Technical Sales Manager.

• Provide assistance after sale regarding delivery, service, quality or other problems that arise, meeting customer service objectives.

• Maintain and update knowledge of material and fastener specifications.

• Maintain computer and spreadsheet proficiency.

• Collaborate with all B&G depts and management to assure customer service and quality guidelines are attained. Communicate effectively with other customer, department managers, supervisors and employees to ensure timely resolution of problems and accomplishments of department and company objectives.

Other duties may be assigned.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS **(Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• Exceptional negotiation and time management skills
• Can demonstrate high level of mechanical aptitude
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Experience utilizing SAP software
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
