Title: Technical Support Specialist

Location: St. Louis
The Technical Support Specialist troubleshoots, and maintains a variety of workstations, and network devices and services for internal clients. We are looking for a person who is talented, friendly, detail-oriented, a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed. The right individual will have strong ethical values, work both independently and in a team environment and be able to listen to customer needs. Must have good communication skills and be able to interact with all levels of staff, management, and client personnel.
Responsibilities:
• Responds to Help Desk requests for related technical support
• Supports internal clients
• Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems related to LAN and PC workstations
• Setup and maintain computer hardware (desktops, laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers, scanners)
• Uses discretion to effect timely solutions of problems in order to ensure customer satisfaction, eliminate downtime and prevent cost overruns
• Utilize remote support to ensure timely delivery on help desk tickets
• Fosters an environment of open, honest and timely communication
• Ensures the vision and core values of Ross & Baruzzini are incorporated into the duties and responsibilities of the position
• Achieves computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluating options; recommending a course of action.
• Places hardware and software into production by loading components and software into the computer; entering necessary commands.
• Maintains historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.
• Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping the information confidential.
• One to five years’ experience in a related position
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field
• Demonstrates an understanding of technical concepts, practices, and procedure including Microsoft, Apple, and Android operating systems
• Understands various imaging concepts
• LAN support experience
• Remote support experience
• Must be organized, meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to interact well with all employees
• Willing to take the extra step or three
• Professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance
