As part of the systems development team, the associate will apply expertise in embedded system development to electronics projects.
The ideal candidate must have strong embedded system design skills in both hardware and software.

The ideal candidate must have strong embedded system design skills in both hardware and software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface with customer to collect and clarify product requirements
- Derive system requirements and decompose them into electrical, software and mechanical requirements
- Review government standards and regulations to determine the impact on product design
- Create system architecture showing the necessary elements of the systems and their interfaces
- Use the appropriate diagram to model the system architecture and behavior
- Interface with internal groups such as electrical, mechanical, validation, manufacturing, engineering project managers, program managers and external groups such as suppliers
- Be creative in developing optimized system architectures using the latest technologies
- Review safety solutions from suppliers and apply them to architecture designs
- Ensure bidirectional requirement traceability throughout the development lifecycle
- Participate in internal and customer design reviews
- Provide effort estimates and support quotation activities
- Participate in DFMEA and FTA creation and analysis
- Act as mentor to other engineers
- Participate in improvement of personal, departmental and technological capabilities
- Support product builds, launches and investigation of systems issues
- Be motivated and have strong problem-solving skills
- Provides, exchanges, or present technical information
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering - Master’s degree is a plus
- 8+ years of experience in automotive or equivalent embedded systems
- 2+ years of experience in automotive functional safety ISO 26262
- Experience in automotive serial communication protocols such as CAN & LIN
- Experience in different microcontrollers and peripherals such as SPI, GPIO, PWM, etc.
- Development Process standards such as CMMI or Automotive SPICE
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- EE HW Component Design
- Power Electronics including HV electronics
- Model-Based development tools & AUTOSAR design methodology
- Automotive Cybersecurity
- High speed data networks such as Ethernet
