Role: Office of Security Management Technical Writer
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparing templates for data/information collection.
- Developing managed service documentation, data sheets, operating models, etc.
- Collecting and compiling numerous levels and categories of business and functional requirements.
- Performing research and analysis associated with the OSM’s need of services.
- Producing branding recommendations for key documents and services.
- Developing scope statements and requirements through the facilitation of DoIT OSM and other respective division related meetings.
- Drafting clear and logical content for external communications.
- Designing documents to present professionally and visually communicate key elements.
- Understanding existing capabilities and needs within OSM with the ability to convey such understanding in writing.
- Drafting solicitation documents using the State solicitation templates as needed.
- Supporting development of any associated documents as related to the above subject area’s Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.
Specialized Experience:
- At least two (2) years of experience in drafting IT and cyber security service documents and performing research and analysis in the subject area.
- A clear understanding of solicitation formats, templates, and standard language.
Preferred Experience
- At least seven years in compiling and reviewing scope statements and business/functional requirements, in particular the cybersecurity subject matter.
- At least two years in the development of solicitation documents.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Basic working knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework and Security Assessments.
