About the Job
ASRC Federal Broadleaf Division is looking for a qualified Technical Writer candidate to supporting our U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence customer at Fort Eisenhower, GA.
JOB DUTIES:
* Prepares instruction manuals, SOPs, TTPs, how-to guides, journal articles, and other supporting artifacts to communicate complex and technical information more easily.
* Translates and formats details that computer professionals wish to communicate into simple written language for internal and external stakeholders.
* Collects information and prepares daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.
* Interfaces with all functional areas, staff, leaders and/or other partners to ensure quality final documentation and contract deliverables; obtains approval for final documents to ensure they are usable and meet quality standards.
* Participates in process improvement sessions to capture steps, develop, and/or update standard operating procedures (SOPs), flowcharts, processes, and procedures.
* Maintains records and files of work and revisions; make edits to documentation, standardize the documentation and/or make changes to material prepared by other writers or program personnel.
* Works closely with the team to curate, grow, and update a technical and procedural library of approved content.
* Performs other tasks as required by ASRC - Federal and the Government contracting office.
EXPERIENCE:
* At least five (5) years or more of relatable Technical Writing experience
* Must be well versed in different genres of technical writing, including instruction manuals, proposals, reports, posters and visual communication, technical descriptions, product recalls, and white papers.
* Must be detailed-oriented to catch grammatical, spelling, and other editing errors.
* Forward-looking, results-oriented, focused/proactive problem solver.
* Works well independently and in a team setting.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
CLEARANCE LEVEL:
* Top Secret (TS) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance to be maintained.
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's degree in English or communications preferred.
* Associate degree
