What are we looking for?
The Technician I - Solar (PV) is responsible for performing standard testing and evaluation on photovoltaic (PV) modules and system equipment on-site at PV installations and for preparing technical reports. This position works under general supervision.
Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $20/hr - $25/hr. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:
- Building test structures for mechanical load using wooden beams and power tools.
- Setting up test apparatus for electrical and mechanical safety testing
- Operating equipment
- Maintaining equipment and facilities
- Preparing test samples
- Obtaining and recording test data in accordance with standards
- Analyzing test data and performing routine calculations
- Daily cleanup and maintenance of projects, work equipment, work site, vehicles and organize all tools and materials.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED
- 0+ years experience as a Technician or in a related role
- Must have wood shop experience
- Must be able to use proficiently power tools such as: impact drill, hammer drill, chop saw, saws all, circular saw, torque wrench (digital and mechanical), oscillating multi-tool, Dremel or rotary tool, angle grinder, and other various hand tools
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits including switches, contactors, relays, timers
- Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand and power tools
- Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
- Experience safely handling tools and materials including, but not limited to: inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, electrical equipment, etc. preferred
- OSHA safety certification preferred
- Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record, required
- Travel up to, 25%
