The Technician I, Technical Operations Support assists end users with technical support. Under direction, install and maintain PC hardware and software.
Essential Functions for this role include:
- Serves as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance over the phone, virtually, or email.
- Responds to telephone calls, email, and other requests from employees requesting technical support.
- Tracks and monitors problems to insure timely resolution.
- Deploys, maintains, supports, and upgrades desktop PC, hardware, software, operating systems, and distributed printers.
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
- Ensures service delivery adherence to established service level agreements.
- Maintains accurate hardware inventory.
- Other duties as assigned
If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:
High School or equivalent experience
- One to three years of experience
One year of customer issue resolution experience in an IT help desk environment.
Direct computer technical support/issue resolution experience preferred.
- Knowledge of PC/LAN hardware and software implementation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Solid experience with workstation configuration and troubleshooting for Windows 7, DOS
- Knowledge of Windows 10 and Macintosh
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Active Directory, eDirectory, Netscape
- Ability to troubleshoot network/application issues in a Windows environment
- Experience with Unix, Oracle, and ITIL
