About the Job
We would expect the new technician to be comfortable using common hand tools, soldering, wire strippers, various styles of terminal crimping tools. Please note that we do not have machines to do crimping.
Job Description
Responsible for assembling electrical equipment. Reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts and tools, and fits electronic components together.
Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities

· Assemble materials
· Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, or work orders
· Review work activities with supervisors
· Inspect wiring installations, assemblies and circuits
· Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring or assembly casing
· Assemble cables
· Pack finished products for shipment
· Tag components
· Correct defects
· Test product to ensure conformance to specifications
· Perform manual assembly during the small-scale production of electronic devices

· Lifting, pushing and pulling requirements are 50 pounds
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED
· Mechanical aptitude
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to work in a team and to promote team work
· Ability to communicate on a one-on one basis or in group situation
· Ability to understand instructions and follow SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure)
· Ability to learn and develop new skills and adapt to changes
· Ability to multi-task
