Technology Attorney - Gpac

Seeking a highly skilled Tech Attorney to join an innovative technology company that is revolutionizing the SaaS industry. Job Summary:

As a Tech Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support to our business teams, including software development, sales, and marketing. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Your expertise will be essential in navigating complex legal issues, identifying key risks, and developing creative solutions to mitigate those risks.

Responsibilities:

Provide legal guidance and support to our business teams, including software development, sales, and marketing.

Develop and implement innovative legal solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Work closely with our engineering and product teams to develop and implement new technologies and products.

Identify and mitigate key risks associated with new technologies and products.

Develop and maintain relationships with other lawyers, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.

Stay up to date with the latest developments in technology, law, and industry trends.

Collaborate with other teams to achieve business goals.

Manage high-stakes situations such as intellectual property disputes, data breaches, or regulatory investigations.

Provide guidance on crisis communication strategies.

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Minimum 5 years of experience as a tech attorney, with a focus on patent law, intellectual property law, contract law, data privacy and security law, or other relevant areas of law

Strong technical expertise in areas such as programming languages, software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and other relevant technologies

Proven track record of providing effective legal counsel and advice.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues, identify key risks, and develop creative solutions to mitigate those risks.

Ability to work collaboratively with other teams to achieve business goals.

Experience with crisis management skills and crisis communication strategies.

Strong business sense, with a good understanding of the business side of the company

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a fast-paced technology company or startup environment.

Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR, CCPA)

Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, or IoT

Experience with legal project management tools and software.
