The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Job Description:
Position Overview:
- Client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join client’s growing IM Technology team.
- In this role, candidate will leverage your strong analytical skills and expertise in data manipulation and visualization tools to support the development and implementation of data-driven solutions for Investment Management.
- candidate will work closely with business partners, data engineers, and software developers to identify data needs, develop data models, and create insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable data models and queries.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from business and technology stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data.
- Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize complex data sets and communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and patterns, and support investment decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest data analysis tools and technologies, including but not limited to Python and DataIKU (experience with DataIKU a plus).
- Document data models, queries, and reports to ensure clarity and maintainability.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across different disciplines and time-zones
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in data.
- Proven experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Expertise in Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
- Experience with Python and Spark for data analysis
- Experience with DataIKU (a plus).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
