Telemetry Technician- Per Diem / Nights - Atlantic Health System

About the Job
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Monitor Technician to work varied hours
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Documents and interprets telemetry rhythm strips at intervals and with patient changes.
- Performs independent check of strips to include: time, PR interval measurement, QRS measurement, QT measurement, ectopy and baseline rhythm
- Assigns telemetry monitoring as ordered by physician
- Effectively communicates telemetry-related patient information to members of the health care team
- Continuously checks telemetry monitoring system to ensure proper working order.
- Demonstrates knowledge of escalating medical emergency and Code Blue process.
- May perform relevant duties as needed
Required:
1. HS Diploma
2. Completion of Basic Arrhythmia course required
3. Able to pass telemetry pre-test
Preferred:
1. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
2. Current Monitor Tech experience and/or recent clinical experience preferred
