Job Description:
- Paralegal to coordinate and project manage various regulatory examinations and audits related to the Firm’s Bank Secrecy Act program on behalf of the Global Financial Crimes (GFC) team.
- Regulatory and audit responses: The candidate will coordinate responses to regulatory examination requests and internal audit requests including:
- working with the Regulatory Relations Group (RRG) and Regulatory and Audit Counsel to identify GFC subject matter experts needed to provide responsive materials;
- calendaring meetings to review regulatory/audit examination requests, coordinate GFC subject matter experts, assign topic ownership, establish internal deadlines, and status check-ins
- Presentation materials: Coordinate the creation of presentation materials and talking points, if necessary, for regulatory/audit presentations needed during examinations/audits including:
- Working with Regulatory and Audit Counsel to identify GFC subject matter experts needed to provide substance for presentation materials
- calendaring meetings to coordinate GFC subject matter experts, assign topic ownership, speaking roles, establish internal deadlines, and status check-ins
- Combining materials into a unified presentation and circulate internally for review
- Editing materials and talking points, at the direction of Regulatory and Audit Counsel and subject matter experts
- Tracking: Track regulatory examinations and audits including:
- maintaining regulatory and audit tracker
- communicating with stakeholders whose tracker items are at risk of being overdue and escalating any such potential items.
- Pull monthly issue tracking reports
- Reporting: Assist with drafting regulatory and audit updates for committee and monthly metrics reporting.
- 3-5 years paralegal experience, preferably at a major law firm/investment bank, with focus on regulatory examinations and/or internal audit examinations.
- Project Management experience and skills are preferred
- Excellent judgment, organization and interpersonal skills
- Strong skills operating excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting platforms or software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent team player, with the ability to work independently and manage high-volume of matters
