Description:
Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and Medical Director, the Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for care and safety of patients undergoing ultrasound procedures; use and knowledge of ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic ultrasound images of the abdomen, pelvis, fetus, thyroid, breast, extremities, and other procedures for diagnosis of disorders and diseases.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) - REQUIRED
One year of clinical experience in abdominal, ob-gyn, small parts and/or vascular imaging - REQUIRED
Certificate in Abdominal, Vascular and OB - Preferred
Strong OB Experience - REQUIRED

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The Department of Radiology at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is a consultative service that will provide services in the following categories: diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computed tomography, interventional radiography, MRI, bone density and mammography. The department o ers services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to inpatients, outpatients and emergency room patients of all ages. Whereas x-ray procedures constitute the majority of our service, we also provide related quality control (including protecting patients and sta from harmful radiation), quality assurance monitoring and evaluation, marketing and continuing education of sta and patients. Radiology is comprises of licensed technologists, certi ed and licensed nuclear medicine technologists, secretarial sta and licensed radiologists.
