We are currently hiring for a Temporary Office Assistant in Hempstead, NY
$20/hour
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Must have reliable transportation
The Office Assistant will assist at the apartment community to ensure all phone are answered in a professional manner, will take work orders and work with maintenance to confirm they are completed on time, and assist residents at the front desk as well as potential residents.
Requirements:
• HS Diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Prior apartment office experience helpful, with some understanding of compliance regulations for residents who qualify for subsidized housing assistance helpful but not required; willing to learn/train.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills needed.
• Prior accurate data entry inputting needed with excellent proofreading skills.
• Proficient in MSOffice skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Job Duties:
• Providing organizational overflow support for fast-paced management office and provide excellent customer service to all Residents, new applicants, visitors, vendors, contractors, co-workers, and customers.
• Answering phones, greet incoming visitors, process incoming/outgoing mail, preparing office correspondence and completion of forms, maintaining files, and ordering/maintaining inventory of office supplies.
• Assisting with touring new resident applicants on the property when needed.
• Maintaining an organized office calendar and schedule meetings and appointments when needed.
• Receiving and processing repair work orders from residents in accordance with Conifer’s standards of operation and submitting them to maintenance on a timely basis.
• Helping develop promotional activities that will assist in Marketing of community during leasing along with other resident activities.
• Composing, preparing and proofreading correspondence, office memos, reports, always maintaining required confidentiality.
• Accurate, timely data entry into software programs for reporting with excellent proofreading.
