A comprehensive multi-services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join one of their growing facilities in the Bronx.

About the Opportunity:

• Setting:Article 16 Clinic
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours:9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm
• Patient Population: Adults (Ages 18+)
• EMR: PrecisionCare

Responsibilities:

• Reviewdoctor referrals and medical records to determine PT treatment; referto specialty clinics as needed (adaptive equipment, shoe and splint)
• Evaluateand assessthe needs and level of functioning in the areas of: sensorimotor, gross & fine motor skills, musculoskeletal status, CNS status, ambulation and adaptive equipment needs (e.g. walker, canes, AFOs).
• Devisetreatment plans based on the assessment
• Administertreatment involving the application of modalities
• Instruct, motivate, and assistpersons receiving services in various exercise programs utilizing weights, exercise machines, mat activities, assistive devices, orthoses, and prostheses
• Providetraining, as needed
• Participateand attendcare plan/team meetings as needed for persons receiving PT services
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy school
• NYS Physical Therapist (PT)license
• Knowledge in the use of mobility devices and therapeutic exercises
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
