About the Job
Responsible for manufacturing quality products using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding practices in accordance with AWS D17.1 and customer specifications. Utilize shop orders, setup documents, tooling, weld procedures & schedules, and customer provided drawings ensuring timely production, quality, and efficiency. Accurately fill out any necessary paperwork utilized in tracking product cost and movement throughout the manufacturing facility

- Set up welding jobs based on work order directives and customer specifications
- Uses equipment and tooling properly for fit-up and product conformances
- Be comfortable using air powered tools such as die grinders, belt sanders, and drills
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
- Ability to perform both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet time standards and deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Job Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in TIG Welding preferred
- Must be able pass weld tests for qualifications as needed in accordance with AWS D17.1
- Subject to qualification of all material group designations per AWS D17.1
- Technical Certification in AWS Welding processes preferred
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Must be able to utilize relative measuring equipment as needed for quality inspection purposes
Personal Protective Equipment
- Safety glasses in designated areas
- Hearing protection in designated areas
- Closed toe and closed heeled shoes required in shop area at all times
- Respirator when required
