About the Job
As a Timber & Truss Sales Rep, you will offer wood based building products to general contractors and builders. The position is a base pay + unlimited commission. Desire 3+ years experience in selling within the construction industry. Experience in timber, lumber and/or trusses is preferred. Must be able to read and understand design documents and blueprints.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance on our product lines and services.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through meticulous attention to detail and prompt order fulfillment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through proactive prospecting, account development, quoting, and follow-up.
- Source special order items as needed for our contractors.
- Visit customer sites to review specifications for site preparation and other building requirements.
- Collaborate with construction and facilities managers to interpret blueprints and prepare building specifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction material sales is essential; familiarity with heavy timber and/or trusses is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Knowledge of AutoCAD helpful.
- Strong organizational skills with a goal-driven attitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work within a team-based environment.
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
