We are looking for an Experienced Tool and Die Toolroom Machinist for a growing manufacturing company located in the Carol Stream!
Experienced Tool and Die Toolroom Machinist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on Dies & Tooling.
Troubleshoot Dies & Tooling
Troubleshoot Processing issues
Perform Mold and/or Die Repairs and Engineering Changes that may include welding and hand finishing
Make replacement components for both Tooling and Production Equipment
Ability to work any shift
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required
Experience with standard Tool Room Machines
Proficient in working complex Three Dimensional surfaces
Ability to read blueprints
Experienced Tool and Die Toolroom Machinist

Ability to read blueprints
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Grinding (EDG), Surface Grinding and Milling
CNC Machining experience
Ability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking 8-12 hours per day
Ability to climb steps to access workstations and machines
Lifting/carrying (materials, tools, and equipment) up to 50lbs., pushing/pulling with a force of up to 50 lbs
Manual dexterity to grasp and manipulate materials, tools, and equipment
Able to position one’s body to access in and around dies. (bending/squatting/stooping/kneeling/reaching below waist and above shoulder).
