Tortilla Maker JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Class: Non-Exempt
Reports To: The Chief Manager
Job Summary: Directly responsible for making and serving a great-tasting tortilla.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: NOTE: Taco Cabana unilaterally may change the requirements of this job description at any time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
- You must be passionate about serving a great-tasting tortilla.
- have knowledge and experience making tortillas and working with commercial equipment.
- Cooking tortillas on a flat top grill, and following all health and safety standards.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work harmoniously with other employees.
- Able to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
· Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
· Assist in other areas as needed including washing dishes.
· Able to work weekends and holidays including Christmas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Being able to stand up to 9 hours.
- Use motion that entails pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and continuous use of fingers and wrists.
- Tolerate kitchen temperatures at times.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a cook.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
