Traffic Engineer - LaBella Associates

About the Job
- We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a Traffic Engineer position in our Richmond, VA office.
- Work as part of a team in all facets of traffic engineering including roadway, trail, and pedestrian type projects.
- Tasks include design of signing and pavement markings, safety assessments, development of maintenance of traffic and preparation of construction related documents.
- Analysis of intersection and road section in accordance with VDOT standards.
- Ability to manage traffic impact study projects.
- Other responsibilities may include report preparation, field reconnaissance and inspection, project rendering.
Requirements
- Required Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (with emphasis in Transportation)
- 5 to 7 years-experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Knowledge of TOPSAM requirements, Chapter 527, VDOT LAP and Smart Scale process and requirements.
- Desire to work in a team environment.
- PE license or ability to obtain one.
- Planning, organization and scheduling skills.
- A self starter.
