Training, Development, & Operational Efficiency Specialist
Our client, a World Leader in the manufacturing and distribution of consumer-packaged goods, is seeking a dynamic Trainer who is passionate in the design, development, and delivery of employee educational programs that drive personal growth, enhances “Team” performance, ensures industry compliance, and creates operational improvements to become a key member in their 150+ employee distribution operation.
The ideal candidate will utilize their technical skills in areas such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and SOP documentation, along with experience gained through the selection of training partners to build a “Curriculum for Success”.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assesses Training Needs through team surveys, focus groups, management feedback, and review of industry requirements.
- Creates e-learning content and manages course assignments and completions in the Learning Management System.
- Documents all training records required for Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and other audits.
- Conducts process and value stream mapping sessions to identify inefficiencies, waste, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintains health and safety objectives, actively participating in the design, development, and delivery of safety training, and partnering with team members to address safety concerns.
- Acts as the technical lead on equipment and operator processes, providing input on operator qualifications.
- Update changes to SOPs on a regular basis and as required by process changes.
- Effectively manage the annual training budget.
Education/Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related technical area required.
- 2+ years of direct experience in creating, conducting, and leading training courses.
- Continuous Improvement methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) experience preferred.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning content creation is preferred.
- Experience working within a Manufacturing or Distribution facility is required.
Compensation/Work Schedule:
- M-F, 8a-5p, with some flexibility when an off-shift training needs to be scheduled
- $70,000 to $75,000
