SUMMARY
The Training Director will manage the day to day operations within the training department, including scheduling instructors, and classes throughout the company’s various locations. This position will ensure that a monthly training calendar is produced and communicated to all operational elements of the organization. The Director will also conduct training for all E3 personnel in OSHA and other company required training. This position will also ensure that companies training database is maintained and up to date. The Director position will ensure that training equipment and supplies are ordered and maintained.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Prepare and deliver E3 OMI training courses; including but not limited to, Hazmat Technician courses (40-Hour initial, Refresher Training), Rope/Industrial/Confined Space Rescue, First Aid/CPR/AED training, Industrial Firefighting, Supervisor Training (leadership-management training), Hazmat Transportation Specialist, and Incident Management (NIMS).
- Deliver classroom instruction (lectures), proctor tests, conduct outside drill activities and scenarios, preparation of safe drill work areas (confined space rescue, hazmat, incipient fire training, etc.), perform respirator fit testing on company personnel, prepare and maintain all training equipment to be used (rope washing, filling SCBAs, etc.) and returning all equipment to a ready condition as needed.
- Develop and maintain complete Lesson Plan Outlines (LPO), Power Point presentations, and handouts for all assigned classes.
- Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to heavy equipment, fire pumps, Tella-Handler, and forklift, man lift etc.
- Be competent in the use of various types of response equipment including breathing apparatus (SCBA & SABA), environmental monitoring devices, air compressors and cascade systems, transfer pumps, portable extinguishers, ventilation equipment, fire hose and nozzles, rope rescue equipment, ladders, equipment trailers, grounding, bonding and flaring equipment, plugging and patching equipment, and communication equipment.
- Be proficient in the use of Word, Power Point and Excel computer programs, televisions, digital & single lens reflex cameras, multi-media projectors, and computers for course deliveries.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 10 years of experience as an instructor in a related industry.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, equipment & tools involved in remediation services and chemical services.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Excellent oral communication skills.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the Training Instructors.
POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. This position may be required to work beyond a 40 hour work week.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel is expected for this position.
