As a Transaction Processing Specialist in the Balancing Department, you will perform business support and technical work, primarily focused on organizing data and coordinating financial processes. You will ensure the accurate processing and balancing of accounts, handling both electronic and hard copy documents, and maintaining a high level of attention to detail. This entry-level position offers opportunities for individuals to apply and enhance their skills within a structured and closely supervised environment.
WORKSITE: 315 W. Edgerton Ave, Milwaukee, WI
WORK HOURS: Mon-Fri 8:00 am-4:00 pm. 30-40 hours a week, Overtime as needed
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Perform 10-key data entry, cut verification, and balancing procedures for financial instruments.
- Receive and process documents from both electronic and hard copy formats.
- Sort, image, file, archive, and classify documents based on form type and contract requirements.
- Verify and input data with a high level of discretion and accuracy.
- Ensure all processed accounts are balanced before transmitting data to the next level.
- Utilize automated data extraction tools, ensuring data accuracy and completion.
- Handle outbound correspondence for client processing as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure the secure transmission of data.
- Adhere to all company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Basic understanding of processes, procedures, and systems related to financial instruments.
- Ability to perform operational and analytical tasks with minimal discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to exchange information and ideas effectively.
- Ability to follow standardized procedures and receive guidance as necessary.
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Must type at least 30 words per minute (typing assessment required).
- Experience in balancing financial instruments preferred.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
