Job Details
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced document review attorney to join our legal team in Georgia.
The successful candidate will focus on reviewing and analyzing documents related to various business transactions, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and analyze a wide range of transactional documents, including contracts, agreements, financial statements, and corporate records
- Review documents for relevance, responsiveness, privilege, and confidentiality
- Summarize, tab, highlight, and chart key information from reviewed documents
- Identify potential legal issues and risks in transactional documents
- Collaborate with managing attorneys and other team members on complex document review projects
- Ensure compliance with Georgia state laws and regulations pertaining to business transactions
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Georgia State Bar
- 2+ years of experience in document review, preferably with a focus on transactional matters
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with large volumes of documents
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using document review software and legal research tools
- Knowledge of Georgia business and contract law
