RS&H is currently seeking a Transportation Design Integration Engineer to support our Infrastructure service group at the regional level.
Job Summary: The Design Integration Engineer will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of industry trends as it relates to the transportation market and will be responsible for leading innovative project delivery initiatives across various geographies. This role will interface with multiple project teams across the country, including a full range of disciplines (highway, drainage, structures, signals, lighting, ITS, etc.) to advise, design, and produce key projects emphasizing digital delivery and 3D design workflows.
Essential Functions:
- Operate nationally as a lead resource to deliver critical, high-profile projects that require the implementation of cutting-edge technologies and/or emerging design workflows
- Support strategic pursuits and project digital deliveries across various geographies
- Ensure regional operational capabilities across the Infrastructure Business Unit are sufficient to meet evolving client demands as well as strategic marketing objectives
- Serve as an internal leader and liaison between different branches of the organization, and an external industry ambassador as it applies to emerging design innovations
- Identify and curate pilot projects and/or support external clients to develop agency protocols and guidelines
- Seek innovative solutions across non-traditional workflows to support the next generation of project needs
- Assist with project onboarding programs (both internal and external)
- Support the relationship building process with key clients, industry organizations, teaming partners, and stakeholders to identify opportunities to grow the business within both traditional services and new lines of service
- Maintain an ongoing awareness and understanding of trends impacting infrastructure and construction management through active participation in industry conferences and professional organizations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years relevant experience
- PE required
- Excellent working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer and other industry software
- Understanding of the project delivery process
- Ability to lead teams without direct authority
- Willingness to seek solutions to identified challenges
- Self-motivated to improve and optimize project design and delivery
- Eagerness to promote digital delivery and BIM workflows
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification by the discipline professional society or by the state regulatory board desired
- Localized Department of Transportation knowledge
- Experience developing guidance documentation and trainings
- Ability to build working relationships with clients and internal project teams
- Experience with additional software applications geared towards the Transportation market
Typical salary range for this position in Denver is $85,785 to $137,278 and commensurate with experience relative to the position.
