The Transportation Coordinator is critical to ensuring we meet that goal. This team member Interfaces directly with fleet teams and transportation partners to provide a timely flow of merchandise into our DC’s while working to maintain the lowest possible transportation costs.
Some of the functions the Transportation Coordinator will perform:
- Tender and track loads to ensure efficiency and low cost utilization.
- Seeks out opportunities to fill empty miles with back haul opportunities.
- Tracks and reports on all aspects of carrier and store delivery including external load tracking.
- Process and file paperwork as needed to ensure fleet teams have all documentation needed for back haul program.
- Oversee weekly carrier invoicing to ensure loads are closed and billed timely.
- Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation and Logistics or equivalent experience (new grads welcome)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong accounting skills (accounts payable and receivable).
- Strong organization skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask.
- Strong communication skills.
- 2+ years transportation experience preferred.
