ROLE SUMMARY:
The Transportation Project Manager will lead BCI in the development and coordination of a reliable solution for transportation support for employment for adults with developmental disabilities in St. Charles County and beyond. One of the primary barriers to facility-based employment at BCI and Competitive Employment in the community is reliable transportation services. They will serve as a member of the BCI’s management team. In collaboration with the CEO, Chief Program Officer of Organizational Employment and Advocacy, and Chief Program Officer of Competitive Employment, the manager will formulate, articulate, and execute a scalable transportation solution for employment across the continuum.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TRANSPORTATION PROJECT MANAGER CAN LOOK LIKE:
- Engaging with a transportation service provider to develop and execute a “hub and spoke” model or an effective alternative solution to deliver transportation support for those who are in or seeking organizational (facility-based) employment at BCI or Competitive Employment.
- Understanding the transportation funding mechanism through the Department of Mental Health and seeking other creative funding mechanisms to best support a scalable solution.
- Serving as the primary logistics point of contact with the transportation provider and the employee or the employee’s family or guardians.
- Collaborating with other service agencies in the region to develop the program to best serve the broadest population for employment and/or day rehabilitative service.
- Continually refining and improving plans related to the service in-line with an outcome-driven model.
- Establishing the annual program goals and key performance indicators to best measure the success of the program.
- Working with a broad group of stakeholders and providing leadership to continuously drive the program forward in St. Charles County and beyond.
- Ensuring the continual and effective communication of the program to a broad group of stakeholders including employees, families, funders, and governmental agencies.
- Supporting various roles within BCI to gain an understanding of the population.
- Effectively partnering with and utilizing BCI’s Shared Services functions (Finance, Human Resources, Clerical Administration, and other consultative services) to ensure the infrastructure supports the program requirements.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3 – 5 years of project management experience.
- Knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics.
- Experience working with adults with disabilities.
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills and ability to navigate stressful situations and collaborate well with external and internal stakeholders.
LOCATION: St. Peters, Missouri
STATUS: Full Time
PAY: $55,000 per year
