**Job Title:** PET/CT Technologist
**Job Specialty:** PET/CT
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 8 Hour Days
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1-2 years of PET/PETCT imaging experience required
**License:** Valid state license required
**Certifications:** Certification in Nuclear Medicine required; NMTCB or ARRT (RT-N) and CPR certification required
**Must-Have:** Dual Certification as a Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT))
**Job Description:**
- Use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
- Effectively interpret physician orders/instructions and select appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce high-quality PET/CT images.
- Responsible for patient safety, pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety regulations.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Communicate effectively with customers and/or radiologists.
- Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators.
- Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).
- Flexibility to work in various environments such as freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based/inpatient facilities.
- Must be willing to work at multiple locations within the state.
