Responsibilities of a School Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants COTAs:
• Assists Occupational Therapist staff in identifying and assessing students' skills and abilities
• Assists with the development of the occupational therapy intervention plan as part of the IEP process
• Assists with data collection and assessment with established service competency documented
• Provides assistance and training to school staff through consultation
• Works cooperatively with personnel from other agencies providing services to the student or family
• Performs related duties as assigned
